But nearest I can figure, the unborn have their whole life ahead of them. They’ve done nothing wrong to deserve to die. The convicted have been judged by court (not going to touch on whether it was a good or bad judgment, leave that for another discussion) to be guilty of whatever crimes they’ve been charged with. The guilty have made their choice, and a poor choice at that. So some people consider the death penalty to be the ultimate punishment. They justify it by, “they knew they were going to get the death penalty. So by choosing to do the crime, they chose their own punishment” therefore making it okay. So that’s how some Christians view it. That’s also some how non-Christians view it, as well. You’ll find that there’s a wide range of theological and moral beliefs among Christians, just as you would among Muslims, Jews, agnostics, etc etc etc. But I cannot answer for them all, I can only answer for myself. So if you really want to know, ask them why they believe what they believe.
